Hanwell Wireless Pharmaceutical Transmitters

RH/T transmitters with internal probe for use in open spaces, external probe for use in ducts, temperature for fridges and freezers, ultra low dp for use in clean rooms and CO2 for use in incubators

The readings from these units are directly transferred to the Synergy software platform by low power RF for analysis, the data can also be sent to a BMS (building management systems) system via Modbus or OPC interface

All Hanwell transmitter have long range wireless communications (3.5km over open ground) and use high quality sensors

Temperature & Humidity

Temperature and Humidity Wireless Transmitter

RH/T transmitter with removable probes for use in open spaces and stability chambers

The detachable probes allow easy on-site calibration

These units are ideal for use in stability as the RH sensor is fully temperature compensated and wont drift over their full temperature range

  • Temperature accurate to +/-0.1C
  • RH accurate to +/-2%

This unit uses a combined temperature and humidity sensor

Temperature and Humidity Transmitter for Outdoor Use

RH/T transmitter with external housing and radiation shield

This unit uses a combined temperature and humidity sensor and is designed for outdoor use

  • RH accuracy is +/-2%
  • Temperature accuracy is between +/-0.1 to 0.5C depending on temperature

Outdoor sensors are used to determine if outdoor conditions are driving indoor conditions

If the HVAC equipment is performing correctly the indoor conditions will be stable, if the indoor conditions start to follow the outside conditions this can be an early indication that the HVAC system is starting to fail

Monitoring the correlation between outdoor and indoor conditions allows maintenance to be carried out before more costly problems occur which could result in downtime

 
 

Temperature

Temperature Transmitters for Fridges and Freezers

For fridges and freezers down to -40C thermistor sensors are the most suitable option

  • Thermistor sensor range is -40C to +60C
  • Accuracy is +/-0.1 between -10C to +40C elsewhere +/-0.3C
  • Resolution is 0.1C

For freezers down to -80C 4 wire PT100 Class A sensors are the most suitable option

  • PT100 range is -100C to +110C
  • Accuracy is +/-0.1C over the entire range
  • Resolution is 0.1C

Electronics are fully temperature compensated over the range -20C to +60C

Temperature Transmitters for Cryogenic Storage

For freezers down to -150C and cryogenic storage down to -200C precision type T thermocouples are the most suitable option

  • Thermocouple sensor range is -200C to +200C
  • Accuracy is +/-0.3 between -200C to +200C
  • Resolution is 0.1C

When measuring in cryogenic storage it is recommended that the sensor tip be placed a few cm above the low level of the liquid. The sensor will measure the liquid level unless it falls below the low level in which case the temperature will register a 40 to 50C jump which will trigger an alarm

Using this mounting method should prevent the total loss of the liquid

For warehouse monitoring thermistor sensors are the most suitable option

  • Thermistor sensor range is -40C to +60C
  • Accuracy is +/-0.1 between -10C to +40C elsewhere +/-0.3C
  • Resolution is 0.1C

These units have detachable probes for ease of calibration

Single and dual channel versions are available allowing remote probes to be used

Using a fixed and a remote probe allows the top and bottom of a rack to be monitored using a single transmitter

The pressure sensor is internally temperature compensated and profiled over the range 10C to 30C for improved accuracy and stability

The 5400 series dp transmitter is ideally suited for positioning near access points to pressure controlled areas.  The transmitter has a display update button so that the pressure differential can be checked before any door is opened

SMS Alarms

SMS alarms can be generated by sending emails to an SMS provider.  This is a reasonable solution but not fool proof as we are relying on an ISP and the servers that the system is running on to be functioning

The AW04 is an independent SMS generation system. The AW04 has a built in GSM module that takes alarm signals directly from the server

The AW04 has internal batteries and will in the event of a server or power failure be able to continue sending SMS alarms

The AW04 will also alarm on network or server communications failure

 

Remote Monitoring

iSense GPRS Loggers

iSense is a remote monitoring device for collection of data from external locations.

Data from iSense devices is transferred to Synergy via GPRS communications, a data only SIM card is required for each device.

 Synergy Security

When using Synergy on a standalone PC or internal intranet with no internet access there is no danger from external influences

When synergy is hosted on an external server there is no danger to corporate systems as there is no connection between the systems

When Synergy is used on an internal intranet or standalone PC with internet access the system is accessed via a URL to a login page this is protected as follows:

  • Synergy uses User Name Authentication with strong passwords
  • Failed login attempt number can be set and will lock out system access
  • Passwords are encrypted during transmission
  • Passwords are not recoverable from the database as they are salted and hashed
  • Not using Windows authentication so no correlation between Windows and synergy passwords
